Because demand for autosniper finishes is thin, SCAR-20 skins are among the cheapest in CS2 across every rarity, which makes the gun a low-cost way to own a Covert or a StatTrak inventory piece. The catch is liquidity: many finishes sit unsold for a while because few players actively shop for them. Role and why skins stay cheap
The SCAR-20 is a scoped full-auto rifle for the CT side. Held still it is extremely punishing — high per-shot damage with rapid follow-ups — but the inaccuracy bloom when you move or fire fast, plus the $5,000 cost, make it a niche pick versus the AWP or an AK/M4. Low in-game usage feeds straight into the skin market: autosniper finishes have little aspirational pull, so even Covert-tier SCAR-20 skins trade for a fraction of comparable rifle or AWP skins. For collectors that is the appeal, since you can grab a clean factory-quality finish without the price premium an AK or M4 commands.
Notable finishes
The most recognized SCAR-20 skin is Cardiac, a teal-and-grey design that became the go-to for players who wanted a clean look on the gun. Cyrex carries the same orange-on-white robotic theme seen across the Cyrex family. Bloodsport applies the bold red-and-white racing graphics of the Bloodhound Collection, and Crimson Web offers the classic red spiderweb pattern where high-tier web placement (a dense web on the body) drives value on the open market. Brass is a budget metallic option, and Emerald brings a deep green finish to the lineup. Across these, the SCAR-20 reads as a value pick rather than a status piece.
Float behaviour and StatTrak
Float matters less on the SCAR-20 than on hero rifles because demand is so light, but wear still moves price within a skin. Solid-color and metallic finishes show wear scratches on edges as float climbs, while pattern-heavy skins like Crimson Web hide it better. The autosniper is one of the best homes for StatTrak: its high fire rate and damage rack up kills fast in deathmatch and casual, so a StatTrak SCAR-20 fills its counter quickly. StatTrak versions still trade cheaply here, so they are an accessible way to own a kill-tracking piece.
