Sawed-Off Skins

About Sawed-Off Skins

It trades range for raw close-quarters stopping power: tight pellet spread up close, near-useless past a doorway, and a slow pump cycle between shots. Its CT-side analogue is the MAG-7, while the Nova and XM1014 are available to both teams. Because it is an eco and force-buy weapon rather than a rifle-round staple, its skins sit in a cheaper, lower-volume corner of the market than AK-47 or AWP finishes.

Skins for the Sawed-Off run the full StatTrak-eligible rarity ladder from Consumer through Covert, plus the occasional Contraband-adjacent collector piece. The barrel and receiver are the canvas the artwork wraps around, so loud, illustrative finishes read better here than fine geometric patterns. The Kraken is the model's signature Covert and the main reason collectors look at this weapon at all; below it sit a handful of recognizable mid-tier and pattern finishes that stay affordable in any exterior.

Prices range from $0.0030 (Sawed-Off (Crimson Batik)) to $79.35 (Sawed-Off (Copper)).

Role and why the skins are cheap

The Sawed-Off only spawns in T loadouts, so it sees far fewer rounds than a shared shotgun like the Nova or XM1014. It is bought on ecos, anti-eco force-buys, and the occasional aggressive close-quarters map control play; it is never a primary aim weapon at range. Lower pick rate means lower skin demand, which keeps even good-looking finishes inexpensive relative to their rifle equivalents. That makes it one of the cheapest weapons to own a Covert on, and a common entry point for players who want a flashy StatTrak counter without rifle prices.

Iconic and notable finishes

The Kraken is the model's defining Covert, with a deep-sea octopus illustration wrapping the barrel that made it the only Sawed-Off skin most players can name. The Devourer is a later Covert-tier creature finish for buyers who want a modern alternative. Below those, recognizable picks include Orange DDPAT (the camo that gives the model its bright signature look), Wasteland Princess, Apocalypto, Highly Regarded, Mosaico, Limelight and Yorick. Rust Coat is the go-to for a worn, weathered aesthetic since it is designed to look battered even at low wear.

Float and exterior behaviour

Sawed-Off finishes follow the standard CS2 wear system, spanning Factory New to Battle-Scarred where the float cap allows it. Illustrative skins like The Kraken keep most of their artwork legible across exteriors, so Field-Tested and Well-Worn copies stay attractive while costing a fraction of Factory New. Solid-color and camo finishes such as Orange DDPAT show scratching more clearly as float rises. There is no Case Hardened-style pattern-index gamble on this model, so seed and blue-gem hunting are not factors here; you are buying for the artwork and the exterior, not a rare pattern roll.

Price tiers

Consumer and Industrial finishes are effectively pocket change and exist mainly as collection filler. Mil-Spec and Restricted skins (the Apocalypto, Mosaico, Limelight bracket) are cheap solid-color and graphic options. Classified sits in the mid range. Covert is the ceiling: The Kraken commands the model's highest non-StatTrak prices, with StatTrak and low-float copies carrying the usual premium. Across the board the Sawed-Off remains one of the more budget-friendly weapons to skin out fully.
