About CS2.IO
What CS2.IO provides
CS2.IO is an independent Counter-Strike 2 database and tools platform. Its current public product includes searchable item data, marketplace price comparison, price history, catalog analytics and practical tools. Additional CS2 datasets and tools will launch only when their sources, update process and methods are ready. News and article collections will follow the same standard.
In the skins section, we compare the buyer's total and the seller's net payout across 36 marketplaces. Rows include fees, regional fit, payment rails and capture time where the source data supports them.
The current snapshot prices more than 17,000 of the catalog's 19,000+ items. The catalog exposes 28 locale routes and uses Valve localization files for item names; authored interface and editorial coverage varies by locale. The markets directory documents 36 venues with verified fees, KYC rules and payout facts.
CS2.IO does not sell skins, hold inventory or user funds, process payments, or operate a marketplace. It is a data and tools service: marketplace transactions happen on third-party venues under their own terms, so users should check the timestamp and final checkout amount before acting.
How we work
Every number on the site is computed from verifiable sources and carries its capture time; when data is missing, the page shows honest absence instead of an estimate. The full rules are public:

Project history
- Counter-Strike research since 2015. The team began maintaining Counter-Strike item data and market research in 2015, first as internal datasets and tools.
- Private and invite-only for years. Before the public launch, the item database and analytics tools ran as a private workspace shared by invitation.
- CS2.IO is the public platform. CS2.IO gives that work a public product with its own Counter-Strike 2 identity, policies and documented methods. Its first modules cover item data, markets, price history and tools. Broader CS2 datasets and tools will be added only when each one is ready.
Who runs it
An independent team maintains the pricing pipeline, catalog sync, source checks, editorial copy, and localization.
We do not invent biographies or credentials. Named contributors will appear only with a real role and relevant work readers can check.

CS2.IO is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Valve Corporation. We operate no marketplace and remain editorially independent of every venue we compare.
