Privacy Policy
Scope
This policy explains how CS2.IO ("we", "our" or "us") handles information when you visit cs2.io or email us. CS2.IO is an independent Counter-Strike 2 database and tools platform. Its current public modules provide searchable item data, marketplace comparison, price history, catalog analytics and practical tools.
What the Service does not collect
The website has no user accounts. We do not buy or sell skins, hold inventory or balances, process deposits or withdrawals, or take payments. We do not ask for or receive your Steam password, Steam Guard code, Web API key, trade token, payment-card details or marketplace KYC documents.
At the date shown above, CS2.IO does not run third-party audience analytics, advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral tracking. If that changes, this policy will be updated when the relevant technology is introduced rather than describing it in advance as if it were installed.
Information processed when you visit
Technical requests
Like any website, our hosting and delivery infrastructure receives the information needed to return a page: the requested URL, IP address, request time, browser user-agent and basic protocol information. This data may appear in operational or security logs used to deliver the Service, diagnose failures and protect it from abuse. We do not use those records to create user profiles.
Browser preferences
The site stores a locale preference in a first-party cookie and may store display choices in your browser, including currency, item language, catalog view and sidebar state. These settings make the catalog consistent between visits; they are not an account and are not used for advertising. You can remove them through your browser controls, after which the site will use its defaults.
Information you send by email
If you contact us, we receive the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to answer the request, investigate a correction or technical problem, handle a partnership inquiry and keep records needed to document the outcome. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, identity documents or payment details.
How information is used and shared
- To deliver pages, remember the preferences you choose and maintain site security.
- To diagnose errors, prevent abusive traffic and keep site data available.
- To respond to correspondence and apply documented corrections.
- To comply with a valid legal obligation or protect the Service and its users.
We do not sell personal information. Hosting, infrastructure and email providers may process the limited data described above to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information when legally required. We do not share email contents with marketplaces merely because a message concerns one of them.
Third-party links
Price tables and market dossiers link to Steam, marketplaces and source pages operated by others. CS2.IO does not control what those sites collect. When you follow a link, the destination’s privacy policy applies; review it before signing in, completing KYC or making a transaction.
Retention and your choices
Browser preferences remain on your device until you clear them. Technical logs and correspondence are kept only for as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, corrections, record-keeping or legal obligations, then deleted or overwritten under the relevant system’s retention process.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or objection concerning personal information we hold. Because there are no accounts, most requests will relate to correspondence you previously sent. We may need enough information to locate the message and confirm that the request is yours.
Children and real-money activity
CS2.IO does not knowingly solicit personal information from children and provides no account or payment flow. Skin markets and paid case openings can have separate age restrictions and financial risks. Minors should not send personal documents or attempt real-money transactions through links from this site and should involve a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We will revise this page when our actual data practices change and update the date above. Material changes apply from publication unless a different date is stated.
